Mitch Baumgartner & Tarrin Baumgartner

Funeral Director / Owner & Office Manager/Owner

Mitch Baumgartner is a native of Bismarck, North Dakota.  He attended Bismarck State College and North Dakota State University.  He thereafter graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, Illinois in 1998.  Mitch became licensed in North Dakota and Minnesota in 1999.  Mitch has served as a funeral director in North Dakota and Minnesota, most recently at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota for the last nine years.

Mitch married Tarrin (Kolden) of Roseglen, North Dakota in 2004.  Tarrin graduated from Bismarck State College in 2001 with an Associate’s Degree.  She has worked as a CNA as well as a secretary at West-Kjos Funeral Home for a number of years before owning and operating her own daycare business to stay at home with their children.

On July 1, 2016, Mitch and Tarrin became owners of Armstrong Funeral Home.  They are honored and excited to have the opportunity to serve these communities.  They currently reside in Lisbon with their four children, Jaelyn, Jazmyn, Jaxsyn and Jamya.
