Andrea Jo (Dick) Berube

Andrea Jo Berube of Lisbon, North Dakota was called home to be with our Lord on August 21, 2021 from her family’s lake home in Clitherall, Minnesota. Andrea was born to Michael and Patty (Himebaugh) Dick on January 11, 1979 in Lisbon, ND. She was raised on a farm in rural Englevale, the youngest of five children. Andrea was baptized, attended Sunday school, and was confirmed at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Englevale, ND. She was a member of the Elloitt Shamrock 4-H club, attended school and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1997. Her first job was at the Bronco in Lisbon before moving into healthcare as a CNA for Parkside Lutheran Home and Community Memorial Nursing Home in Lisbon, ND. She continued her career in healthcare attending school in Billings, Montana to become a Registered Radiology Technician and eventually moved into the business office at the Lisbon Hospital where she most recently managed the Patient Access Department.

Andrea married Jason Berube, her high school sweetheart, on April 29, 2000 at Good Shepherd Church in Englevale. Together they raised three boys – Brandon, Codee, and Pacey. Andrea was the proud mother of boys but got her little girl with the birth of her granddaughter Addison Marie. Andrea loved Jason’s parents and siblings as much as her own and beamed with pride whenever she talked about her many nieces and nephews, and that was often!

Jason and Andrea shared the love of flowers and she could often be found walking around her house or sitting on the deck admiring her beautiful yard and flower beds. Andrea was known for sending pictures of beautiful sunsets and sunrises and was not a morning person unless she was in her “Happy Place” at the lake where she was up with the dawn and always eager to take early morning or evening boat rides with her husband Jason and their sweet little Yorkie Maggie, whom she loved dearly and was always by her side.

Andrea is survived by her husband Jason, children Brandon, Codee, and Pacey Berube all of Lisbon; Granddaughter Addison Berube of Suprise Arizona; Parents Michael and Patty (Himebaugh) Dick of rural Englevale; Father-in-law Dennis Berube of Kissimmee, Florida; Grandmother Bernice Hallquist of Lisbon; brothers Jason Dick (Marnie) and Brent Dick (Brenda) both of Lisbon; sisters Michelle Smith (Bob) of Lisbon, Kristie Peterson (Darrell) of Wishek, ND; Sister-in-laws Tiffany Bunn (Troy) of Sheldon, ND, Whitney Berube of Fargo, ND, and Ebony Berube of Lisbon; 12 nephews, 9 nieces; 2 great nephews, 1 great niece, and another on the way.

She was preceded in death by her Mother-in-law Diane Berube; Grandparents Harold and Dorothy Dick, and Frank and Christine Himebaugh.

Memorial Service will be held at Good Shepherd Church in Englevale on Friday, August 27th at 2:30 pm with visitation one hour before. In celebration of Andrea’s life, the family would invite you to wear something in her favorite color – PINK!
